A rehab centre is notautomaticallya recovery solution.

Advertisements show facilities. Families deserve facts. Before you pay anyone, know what has actually been checked — and what has only been claimed.

What advertisements show

  • Photographs of the buildingLawns, rooms and reception areas say nothing about the care delivered inside them.
  • “100% success rate”No credible treatment service anywhere can promise a cure. Relapse is part of many recovery journeys.
  • “Complete recovery in 30 days”Duration is chosen by clinical need, not by a package. A fixed number is a sales figure.
  • Celebrity or testimonial imagesEndorsements are marketing, not evidence, and cannot be verified by anyone reading them.
  • One headline priceAdvertised fees often exclude medication, doctor visits, tests, food or extended stay.
  • Vague badges and awards“Best rehab”, “ISO certified” and unnamed accreditations rarely map to any real registration.

What families should verify

  • Registration under state rulesAsk for the registration number and the authority that issued it, then check that the name matches.
  • Who provides medical careA named psychiatrist or physician, their qualification, and how often they actually see patients.
  • Qualified counselling staffTrained psychologists or counsellors, not only recovered peers or non-clinical supervisors.
  • Itemised, written feesWhat is included, what is billed separately, and what happens if the stay needs to be longer.
  • Consent, rights and contactHow admission consent is taken, whether the person can leave, and how families stay in touch.
  • Aftercare that is written downFollow-up appointments, relapse-prevention planning and who to call after discharge.

Before you choose, ask the right questions

01

Who will assess my family member before any treatment starts?

02

Which doctor is responsible for medical care, and what is their registration?

03

Is withdrawal expected here, and how will it be managed medically?

04

What therapies happen each week, and who delivers them?

05

Can I see the full fee in writing, including what is charged separately?

06

Can we visit, and can the person contact us during the stay?

07

Under what circumstances can a person leave, and who signs that off?

08

What does aftercare include, and for how many months?

Compare facts, not promises. A centre that answers these clearly is already telling you something important.

Ordering is by fit, never by payment

Results are ordered by how well a centre matches the filters you selected. No centre can pay to appear above a better-matching one, and paid placement, where it exists, is always labelled as such.

We show absence of information

When fees, licence or staffing are not disclosed, we say so instead of leaving a blank. Missing information is information.

We do not invent credentials

We never assert a registration, accreditation, success rate or staff qualification we have not seen evidence for. If a centre claims something we cannot check, it is shown as centre-reported.

What each label means

Professional information verified

What it means: We hold a registration number for the centre and it reports qualified psychiatric input.

What it does not mean: It is not a quality rating, an inspection result, or a guarantee of clinical outcomes.

Information verified

What it means: We hold and have checked the centre's registration number and core listing details.

What it does not mean: We have not audited its clinical practice, staffing levels or treatment results.

Centre-reported

What it means: The information was supplied by the centre itself through a claimed listing.

What it does not mean: It has not been independently checked by RehabSetu.

Not yet verified

What it means: The listing comes from publicly available information and we have not confirmed it with the centre.

What it does not mean: It does not imply the centre is poor — only that we cannot vouch for the details.

Information needs review

What it means: Key details are missing or look out of date, so the listing may be unreliable.

What it does not mean: It is not an allegation of wrongdoing.

How centres can correct their listing

A centre can claim its listing, supply registration details and correct anything inaccurate. Corrections are free. Commercial services are entirely separate from verification, and buying one never changes a verification label or a listing's position in matched results. For treatment centres

Report a concern

If a listing is inaccurate, or you experienced something at a centre that families should know about, tell us through the centre's page. Serious allegations — abuse, restraint without medical justification, detention — should also be reported to the relevant state authority and police, which RehabSetu cannot do on your behalf.

RehabSetu is a navigation platform, not a regulator, an accreditation body or a healthcare provider. Always confirm registration, qualifications and total cost directly with a centre before admission.

RehabSetu provides information for understanding, not diagnosis or treatment. In an urgent or life-threatening situation, seek immediate local emergency medical care.
